My lower arm rest got bumped and now its no longer attached. I searched the forums, but couldn't really find anything. Does anyone have any tips on re-attaching it? I am guessing I have to take the whole panel off to do anything, but I don't know. I see that they are no longer available. I imagine that this is a common issue. If someone could point me in the right direction, that would be great.
Thanks again,
David

on the door?
there is a bracket that is fixed to the arm rest with 3 rivets. This bracket also screws onto the door. chances are the plastic around the 3 rivets broke. I have fixed this a few times by using a wooden paint stir stick, some good epoxy and fresh screws.
clamp while the glue dries.

Its not on the door. It attaches to the trim that covers the rear speakers.

(...seriously, could there be any more Dave's around here??)
Try searching using the word "bolster". I think that is the arm rest portion you are talking about, oui?

Not sure what you are talking about. Perhaps this calls for a Dave subforum for all the Daves to discuss Dave related things.

"My name's not Dave!!" ...(remember that old joke!?)
Maybe that explains the market analysis of DeLorean prices? Somehow tied to the era when the most popular name for children was Dave. Eureka!!! haha

We've repaired many of these over the years. The extension panel must be removed and the pad is then riveted to the panel from the inside. You need to use a piece of metal to bridge and reinforce the area between the two original mounting screws. Radio support straps work well for this and are cheap and plentiful.
