Josh from DPI was at my house a few weeks ago to perform some magic on my engine appearance (pics and new thread coming soon)...but while he was here, he made a comment about the 40 or so different stainless steel cleaners I have on my shelf.

I've made it a little hobby seeking out every possible stainless steel cleaner and (not very scientificly) testing them.

I purchased from amazon, home depot, various auto stores etc. I've tried twinkle, magic, ss glo, speedy, diversy, 3m, and literally every other cleaner known. Some were awful, many were similar, and 1 was amazing.

Rock it lustre was the winner and it claims to use some type of nano technology to resist fingerprints. It is only at home depot and about $10 a can. It doesn't really change the color, isn't oily, and it really makes the car sparkle. I was also amazed how black the cloth got when I applied this, so it tells me that it is taking a lot of dirt out of the grain. Also, I didn't see any streaks.

I also just tried this on our stainless steel appliances, and I was amazed. I'll be selling off about 40 other cans of stainless cleaner if anyone is interested (including a case of chem search and twinkle.)

Here is my miracle cleaner: http://rockitoil.com/products/rockit-lustre/

ps...on a different note, the stainless steel wizard Chris N. just did a "once over" on my car. He used wd40 and a RED (not green) scotch brite pad and the stainless looks amazing. I think the red pad makes it "pop" a little more than green, and chris said most people like the red pad finish more. After he did he magic and then I cleaned with rock-it, the stainless looks awesome.

Great info. I'll try it out next weekend. Thanks for sharing.

I went the other way. I tried it on our fridge before the car. I agree with how good it is. It'll go on the car before the next show.
