Interior fan not working in norm mode

I was at a car show last night. It was hot and I sat for quite some time with the car running, AC on Max and fan on "2".
Suddenly interior fan stopped working. It didnt work on any mode or speed selection
I shut the mode switch off. A few mins later I turned on the ac system on again. The interior fans now work in every position except "norm".
Any ideas?

The wire for speed 3 fell off the breaker. First time it's like the breaker overheated and tripped. This has nothing to do with the mode switch, it's either the speed switch, breaker wiring, or the resistor pack.

Speed switch is the knob you turn on the dash. The breaker is just to the left of the fuse box (There are two, the other is the front cooling fans, the one you are looking for should have 4 wires on it). The resistor pack is inside the heater next to the blower motor, with a bunch of wires plugged into it.

This happened to me last night and a wire that goes to the fans was loose.

One of the wires from the 2plug breaker was off. I plugged it in, and checked the rest of the plugs.
Works fine now.
As for overheating the breaker, is that a common issue? I have had it happen twice now. Any better replacement breakers available?

I don't know how common it is but, I've had to replace mine twice in nearly 3 years.
Maybe some knows of a longer lasting replacement.

If you are replacing them often either you are not getting good ones or the blower motor is drawing too much current and is going to die. Try to lubricate the bearings.

Ok I am revisiting this issue.
The blower motor does not work at any speed in "norm" or "vent".
The front fans do not come on with the switch in "norm".
I have tried three different 4wire breakers.
Ideas?

Is it possible that there is a problem with the electrical connection inside mode switch ?

Problem solved
I cleaned the metal contact points, lightly lubed them with dielectric grease and stretched the three tiny springs a little so that there was better contact between the points.
If anyone is contemplating repairing the vac portion of the mode switch, I would recommend having a look at the electrical portion as well.
