So most things on my instruments seem to work, but there are a few places where things appear crimped, broken or off....

I wouldn't mind a total revitalization of the PCB and/or full instrument cluster (if it's affordable)

Does anyone have any thoughts or experience on this?

Thanks everyone!

Justin

If there are individual traces that appear to be broken I've seen other people solder in jumper wires between the connections. Sometimes this works right at the point of the break, but I think more often then not I think you'll have to run a wire from each end where the circuit connects instead of actually trying to repair the break.

You may find this thread to be helpful:

If there seems to be lots of delamination going on and multiple breaks you may be better off just replacing the whole flexible printed circuit. It's not terribly overpriced to buy one NOS.

Every once in a while you'll see a whole gauge cluster including the printed circuit up for sale on ebay or on the forum if you're looking for cheaper options.

Failure of the individual gauges seems to be more rare, so if you're having problems I'd start with the printed circuit first and see where it goes from there. If you suspect a certain trace on the board is broken but it's not obvious you can put a continuity tester on each end of the trace and flex it around a little bit to see if it has intermittent connection.

I am overstocked on this item. If anyone needs one they are $60- plus shipping. That's $22- and change off list while supply lasts.
