Anyone planning to do anything special with your car October 21st? I imagine some have been asked to make an appearance at say, the local theatre for a Back to the Future screening, or something along those lines... Anyone?

Absolutely!! That day is my goal to finish my mechanical restoration. I'm taking the day off, and plan to have it drivable by then.

So, I am interested to see what events are planned in Central Florida. Good thread!

A friend is going to host a BTTF viewing party in his backyard (guess he's going to project it on a screen outside) and asked if I would bring the car over for it. Should be fun!

I've been asked to bring the car to Nashville to make an appearance at a BTTF themed event. They were willing to pay.. so I figured why not. 10-21-15 is a Wednesday night, so not a lot going on then anyway.

I've, (Well, my car has), been asked to attend a "Back to the 80's" party In Tuscaloosa that night from 6-9 PM. They want it as a static display.
Since I'm taking the day off anyway, I've decided, "What the Hell." :biggrin:

Anyone else planning to show their cars off that day somewhere?

There may be a few DeLorean owners at Wrigley a little earlier (like later this week), along with the WGN Morning News folks. More details to follow.

I like the vw bus idea...had a friend with one..sadly he moved to alaska (and well, he coulda passed as a 'lybian' easily..no rpg, though)

One of the local AMC Theatres is showing the Trilogy starting at 4:29pm, and has asked for some Delorean's to park out front before the movie, sure,wth. :-)

Having though about this day for the last 10+ years, this is definitely not how I expected I'd spend it. I'll probably watch Back to the Future on my iPad, while my car is parked in my garage 8,000 miles away. I hope to see a lot of cool stories and photos of how everyone spent their 10/21! :thumbup:

Been asked to do an interview with ABC Radio station mid afternoon, I guess to talk about the Delorean and BTTF,
and then a band playing the tunes from BTTF in the CBD at 7 for the magical 7:28pm.

Lol. Yeah...thought about putting the bolts back in (if I cant get it out) and waiting til I get the money and have dmcnw do it...just so I can get to driving it a
little..though only in the daytime, since my right headlight bracket is floppy...but then I also dont have a complete interior either..lol.

We'll be up at UC Santa Cruz/Cowell College with one of our cars, and the finally finished animated Doc, on display prior to their Freshman welcome dinner. On their way in, new students will be able to pose with Doc and the car. Watch 'em freak when Doc speaks!!

We just picked up a rental Raffle Ticket Drum for the 2015 DeLorean Raffle Car drawing on Windy City LIVE tomorrow.

Raffle Drawing will be held Live on the show and it should be posted as a video segment on the website after the show.

Tom "McFly" Sedor will have his DeLorean Time Machine Replica on display for Windy City LIVE at 190 N. State Street.

On a related note ...

NY based Live with Kelly and Michael will feature the Steel City Time Machine (from PA) on their show tomorrow morning.
Sorry, I do not know who the owner is, but Kelly and Michael (Mets fans) challenged Ryan and Val from Windy City LIVE
(Cubs fans) to one of the typical pizza bets, however, Ryan and Val stepped it up to "change TV show hosts for a day",
with the winners getting to host the other's TV show for a day. It will be a TV battle of DeLoreans tomorrow.

For sure. We just connected a customer in Philly with a local station for a newscast appearance tomorrow morning (local Fox channel I believe). I'm sure this is going on all over the country.

I'm getting interviewed with my car tomorrow at the local FOX affiliate station down in DC. its going to mean getting up way too early to avoid rush hour traffic, but should be fun.

Well, it's nightime on the 21st were I am (stationed in Korea now, 13-16 hrs ahead of the US).
Not exactly how I envisioned this day for the last 20 yrs or so. It was just another Wednesday at work.
Delorean is sitting in storage in AZ until we return, can't even sit in it or look at it.

My wife and I just watched part II and wore our new bttf shirts (we each surprised each other with new ones, she got me one with a picture of the time circuits, I got her one that says "I bought this shirt tomorrow" in the bttf font with tire trail flames)

Drove my Delorean to work today. I also got a phone call from a service adviser that I know asked me to bring the car to the dealership. About half of the staff there walked outside and looked at the car. I also let the service adviser drive my car.

More events within the last hour. I was interviewed on the local news talking about the car and Back to the Future. Many news station employees came out to look at the car.

I picked up my boys from school this afternoon as a Future Day surprise! Kids faces all lit up in joy! An awesome feeling! From what I was just told; Downtown San Diego, California is filled with BTTF shirts, cos-play Doc Browns and Marty Mfly's but no DeLorean in sight.

I drove my car to work today for the very first time. Aside from all the thumbs up, waves and cell phone pics, a couple things stood out worth mentioning. First I pulled into a gas station to fill up and opened my door. An orange McLaren pulls up to my right and opens his door. The driver comes over, shakes my hand and asks if he could take a picture with my car. That blew my mind. Then on my way to work in Burbank, I spot a time machine DeLorean at an intersection and we both honk and waved as I drove past.

I was leaving the Burbank Burger King film location from bttf 1. i just went to check it out and they had a cool party going on. Lots of news coverage. Made it on on a couple news broadcasts this evening interviewed about the film and following. It was pretty fun.

I took mine out to get a nice wash and full detailing. It's been sitting in the garage for a while (something somewhere is starting to go wrong so I try not to drive it much) and it was starting to become very evident.

Then last night I took it out to a favorite bar of mine to hang out with a couple of friends for an impromptu BTTF day celebration.

Oh awesome! It was great to see you. Yeah that sounds about right, I was passing Victory Blvd. Very surreal moment. I told a bunch of people the story, but I don't know if they believe me!
