Spare wheel strap!....Grrrrrrrr

When I carry the spare, it is flipped over. I use the rim dish to store a jumper cable in a round carry bag. It's a perfect fit. As for the strap it just hooks together. The extra snap strap was supposedly intended to hold the Factory tool kit ( which as removed at the QAC before shipment to a dealer) . Even during a concours judging I don't recall seeing the tool kit held by the strap though.

This seems like a good question for Nick Sutton to shed light on.

The hook just goes in the loop. It will seem loose but that's just due to age. If you want it tight just drill out the rivets at one end and re-rivet it shorter.
