Facia's and Louvers - What should I expect to pay to have them painted?

I just wanted to get an idea of what other's have paid to have their facia's, louvers and engine cover repainted?

I'm starting to shop it and wondering what tends to be "average"...I know this is a loaded question but I'm asking anyway :)

Also, does any one have the paint codes for easy reference?

I went the DIY way after trying to find a place that wouldn't destroy my car. I got it from: AutomotiveTouchup.com
I haven't done mine yet so I can't show you the results. It was under $200 for all the supplies.
I read someplace that this 2005 Alfa 651 code is the exact match. I believe it is a match for the darker color used on later cars that looks best.

Just the black? Any existing damage or fibreglass work needed?

You want 2 coats of semi gloss probably. I've paid $400 for just the fascias, grill and the lower air dam on one car and $1200 for all that plus louvres, engine cover etc that needed TLC on a different car.

Like anything else you get what you pay for.

I was just curious, I have been getting about $1000 for everything, just wanted to make sure it was inline.

I tried to DIY on both the fascias and the louvre. The front fascia turned out the best. The rear fascia no so much and the louvre the worst. Now mind you the lord chose not to bless me with auto body repair skills. I ended up paying a local body shop to refurb and paint the louvre. It turned out nice but a bit too glossy to be concours. Still, looks so much better than it was when I got and and after my hacks/attempts to refurb and paint myself.

The louvre set me back ~$400

I can do body work to a degree, but I have absolutely no painting skills....Sadly I will have to pay someone :)

My fascias alone were around $1k. Depends on the shop you go to & what brand/type of paint they use. I had them match to the old Ditzler formula (now PPG), & the paint itself was surprisingly expensive.

Painting the black parts on the car is pretty easy if you have space & time to do so. SEM Trim Black runs about $10-$15 can (spray can). Can save yourself money doing this & then just have the fascias professionally painted.

Painting costs vary widely depending on where you live (regional labor rates) and how much prep is required. If they have to strip off all the old paint it adds a lot. The numbers I'm seeing here seem typical, $1000-$1200 for both fascias and $400 for the louver are not out of line.

Also depends if you take the parts in loose, have them do them on the car, or pay the shop to remove them from the car and put them back on.
