There is an unspecified year D on BringAtrailer.com Cool site that has an auction and always interesting cars for sale beside the auction ones. It`s a copy of a current Craigslist ad. Check it out. Steve6864.

The killer is "No Title". In most States that means all you are buying is a pile of parts in the shape of a car. The price is high for what looks like a pile of mangled parts.

No way! It's a DeLorean, it should be worth twice, three times what he is asking!!

In Michigan it is possible to obtain a bonded title, which will eventually transfer to a clear title within a number of years. I think many states have similar procedures for cars with lost titles. Obviously any prospective buyer should research both the title history on that car and the necessary paperwork and procedure required to get a clear title or at least a title which will allow the owner to get plates and insurance in their respective State.

Yes, some States do have a way to get a Title but you are taking a big chance if you don't get one. In some States it is easier than others and in some it is near impossible. You have to buy it figuring you won't be able to get one. What happens if the reason it doesn't have a Title is because it was stolen? Once the authorities realize that, they will take the car away from you! Now you are out the car AND the money you spent buying it. Buying a car without a Title is a big gamble.

If he gave potential buyers the vin# then its relatively easy to do a title check before buying it.
At 4500 its a hard sell, unless you already have your own shop, trailer, etc...though I guess the body panels alone would get that much.

It sold pretty quickly. The exposure from bringatrailer didn't hurt either.
