Battery Strap...

Im in the process of restoring and the battery strap is broke at the back...

How do I get that out and put in a new strap? How do those brackets come out?

Each end of the strap has two studs welded onto the bracket. The studs bolt through the fiberglass body.

-For the rear part of the strap access the nuts from the outside of the car working from the rear wheel well.
-For the front strap bracket work from underneath the car to access the nuts. All four nuts should be M6 thread (use 10mm wrench).

Is Josh (DPI) the only vendor that sells replacement battery straps currently?

May be. DMC store doesnt show a price on them, so they prolly dont have them, Didnt see any on SpecialTauto either

Well, that makes the decision a hell of a lot easier then, LOL.

When I had to replace mine, I used a 1.25" nylon strap (was an M-16 sling in a previos life).
I used the slngs keepers to keep it tight. It's singled in the back, and looped in the front. I just loosen the front keeper to remove the battery.
Does the job perfect, looks fine, long lasting, and very budget friendly.
