I have finally gotten my new A1 window regulator installed on my drivers side door, tested it and I'm ready to button things back up. I've got a question on the re-assembly process? The Armrest Sub Assembly (#105227) that holds the mirror switch and door lock button... does that bolt on BEFORE putting the bottom door panel section back on? I thought I had taken enough pictures during dis-assembly, but it's obvious I didn't.

I've looked in the parts diagram book and it doesn't really show how the two mate up. Anyone have any pictures they can share?

The Armrest Sub Assembly (#105227) that holds the mirror switch and door lock button...

You didn't need to remove that - at least from my experience replacing everything from the regulator to solenoids to control rods.

Regardless, yes bolt that back on first.

But leave off the screw at each end (e.g. just bolt it in using the middle screws) as the lower panel bolts through the ends.

Any pics of the install, Barry?

I'll post them on Thursday night. Still dealing with putting the door panels back together. The posted instructions in the "How to" section, as well as the printed instructions that the vendors are sending might could use some updating. They were very helpful, but would be better if there were photos to accompany the written directions. The best case scenario would be for one of the vendors to fabricate a REAL mounting bracket that actually lined up with the bolt hole patterns in the new regulator and the DMC doors. Of all of the things I've done to my car since November, the window regulator replacement tops the list of the most difficult things I've done. I only thought the banjo bolt on the fuel filter was a pain, this takes the cake.
