I just noticed that at one of the panels on the louvre, the center support started to come away from it...The louvre was poorly adjusted and I think it flopped during transport up here..

Anyway, Im wondering how do you repair that?

Find someone really good at fiberglass, or get one of these.

What does that do?

One of the more common reasons the louvers break is the struts get weak and allow it to twist as you lower it.

What does that do?

It bolts along the side of the center spine and keeps the louver from cracking more. Also avoids having to repair the fiberglass, which is hard to do correctly.

Ill keep that thing in mind...still more pressing things to fix first.

Friend of mine who does this kind of stuff looked at it and noticed someone had tried to repair that spot before, but didnt do it quite right. So He's
gonna help me repair it, and the crack in the front fascia.

Or you can contact one of the BTTF DeLorean conversion facilities of your choice, you could probably pick up a gently used one for a good deal, as the rear louvers aren't necessary for the BTTF conversions. Most shops want to sell them off and clear the clutter from their shops. Just a thought.

Maybe when I get the car going again and am able to start replacing...Im on a budget right now, and getting the engine running and the car inspected is
a priority...actually replacing the pricey bits will come later.
