Ok, so I been waiting on a friend who says he'll help me repair a split on the center part where it attaches to one of the louvre things...
Its in a postion that once its on and supported by the struts its fine....

What Im wondering is if gluing with like gorilla glue or something similar (if even as a temporary fix) is adequate?

Hoping to get my car back monday or tuesday from DMCNW and would like to put it all back together for the first time since I got it.

Fiberglass resin for cracks, short hair resin for voids etc.

If you don't want to deal with a tricky fiberglass repair we have a combination reinforce/repair brace kit that runs under the lenght of the center ribbing. This works for all sunshades that incorporate the T shape center rib used on all but the earliest cars. It consists of a pair of stainless braces that attach with preapplied 3M doublefaced tape that not only will permanently repair the crack but reinforce all the other ribs at the same time. It follows the outline of the center rib and the lower edge is finished off with vinyl coated metal ribbed edging that seals the meta edges and provides clamping power for a stronger bond to the fiberglass. If you do a small fiberglass or filler repair to the one inch area that still shows followed by a spot paint blend no one will ever know it was broken. This is much easier to do then doing a straight fiberglass repair and strengthens the whole center rib section. Once the center rib is broken its much easier to damage the side ribs and then it becomes a major job to fix it correctly. Our part # is SSL6034 and it costs $79.95. It's not on our site at this time so call if you want more info.

Ask Toby to show you the reinforcement kit he has there too.

Ok, so I applied some primer and this happened....you can see where the primer started to crackle...Any suggestions?

Assuning it was clean and that was the first thing you put on it- way too thick, too many coats, or not enough time between coats, wrong kind of primer.
