Ok, so I'm cleaning my windows off..or trying to anyway.
For the most part they're coming clean, except door glass....the car sat for like 15 years and was covered in dust for a long time...
I've tried windex and invisiglass...got alot off, but there is still a light bit on the window that wont come off..would be ok, but when the
light hits it at an angle (like when your driving) it noticebly starts to impede seeing mirror.
Anyone have any suggestions on getting it all off? I thought of acetone, but dont wanna just go doing that if its not a good solution.
Thanks

Griot's Garage sells a glass polish and polisher that should work. It even takes out minor scratches. griotsgarage.com.

A good dish washer soap like Dawn, or Ajax, warm water and the non abrasive side of the Blue Scotch 3M sponge. Available at Walmart. :)
For polishing it up after I use the invisible glass stuff

Thanks, Ill try the soap and warm water thing.
The invisible glass stuff worked for most of it.
Later, after I get more done on the roadworthy end, Ill try that gringots (or whatever) stuff, at least on the drop glass to see if it will clean up
some of the scratching on that.

Buy a fresh 100 pack of rectangular razor blades. Wet the glass heavily with cleaner and use at a shallow angle with your finger on the back side of the blade as a height guide. This will take the ozone build up along with other contaminates off the glass. Stay away from chemicals if all possible as the laminate is prone to discoloring.

You can also try #0000 steel wool. That stuff is great for cleaning glass and chrome. Don't use it on the stainless though, as it can leave rust streaks from the dust off the wool. Razor blades will work as well, but I've always found the wool to be faster...
I was working on a classic vette once, and no amount of chrome cleaner would get the years of oxidation off the bumpers. Steel wool took it off in no time. I've been using it to clean stubborn glass stains for years....
