Hi there,

I was having a service done on the Delorean and they said the fuel lines were cracked and needed replacing. Apparently the high pressure ones near the windscreen? I'm not too sure about all of this stuff (that's why I take it to these guys) so I was wondering, would they be able to fix that with some other type of fuel line? I'd like to avoid shipping something out from DMC as it will take a while and the shipping gets pretty expensive all the way over here (Melbourne).
Any suggestions??

Thanks
Pete

I assume you're talking about the rubber fuel lines and not the hard lines, right?

(These ones? http://store.delorean.com/p-6512-hose-fuel-rtn-feed.aspx)

Any rubber fuel hose rated for the high pressures of fuel injection will work as long as it is the correct size and you use fuel hose clamps. You don't need to replace it with a plastic line like the original.

Thanks guys, yeah not totally sure but they sound like the ones.
So we're the originals plastic?

The original ones were plastic with some sort of fiber outer covering. There are 2 areas that used this plastic line - one is from the fuel pump to the metal lines, and the other are located on the accumulator to metal lines.
