I think an acorn got my hood yesterday while driving. Now there is a tiny dimple in the hood. It's pretty much only noticeable indoors if the light hits it a certain way. My hood was flawless before so this bothers me. Is there any way to fix it that doesn't involve re-graining the whole hood? In a normal car paintless dent removal might be the way to go. Do suction cups work on stainless? I'm a novice when it comes to body work.

It can be fixed but not by a novice. Contact PJ Grady. He is the nearest Delorean vendor to you.

So you would completely stay away from a conventional body shop?

If you insist on paintless dent removal, you must ask for a VERY good tech who is really good with a shade light. The stainless steel doesn't give much reflection even oiled up.
I have been doing stainless repairs for years, and am also a pdr guy. Stainless works very differently than normal metal, or high strength steel. You must work it slowly. If done correctly, and in cases of small dings, regraining won't even be necessary....
You can see some examples of stainless repair in my profile, under dents folder....
