Oh yes...the usual Delorean-ignorant article. Empty words. Simply nonsense.

I glanced over the article once again. The header reads: "5 cars you'd never want to be driver-less" So if the editor is so concerned about getting stuck in a flipped over Delorean, wouldn't you then want it to be driverless? Again, dumbest article I have seen in a long time.

It's Utah, man. We gave them statehood, Jell-O, & radioactive fallout, and in return got Funeral Potatoes, Fry Sauce, and perpetual small-town journalism.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I was thinking the same thing. I also like how much shit theyre talking about the electronics when the least reliable thing on any new car is the infotainment system. Ill take minor electrical gremlins over my car being able to be hacked and driven remotely.
Thanks for sharing that one.
Yes, it's a silly list.
But there is a very small upside - how bad can it be for the DMC-12 to be included along with the Corvette Stingray Z06 on any list of just 5 cars?
It really was an empty article. The reasons behind the van and Crown Vic being included were equally stupid. To give them more credit than they deserve, though, I did like the reasoning for the Vette and Jeep. Those, like the DeLorean, are meant to be driven. That's reason number 1 for not making a driver-less version.

'Got up early this morning and saw this article about the Stanford driverless DeLorean named M-A-R-T-Y (https://www.engadget.com/2019/12/20/stanford-upgrades-its-driverless-delorean-for-better-drifting/?utm_medium=newsletter&utm_source=morningafter), so thought I'd post it here.
This is VIN 6712 (http://www.citizenkidd.com/DMC/pages/vinview_disp.aspx?start=6712).

(Edit: After posting this, I found another thread on the very subject of MARTY Here (http://dmctalk.org/showthread.php?12661-You-built-an-electric-self-driving-drifting-car-out-of-a-DeLorean). Mods may want to move. Sorry about that).
