This is a concept I designed earlier this year. I envisioned what a DeLorean would look like had the cmpany survived to continue to a second generation. I tried to keep the design period correct in late 80's fashion. I also used the black underbody as a design element. Rather than covering all of it up with stainless panels, I allowed it to show in places.

Thanks! I enjoy doing freehand renders. I used to do this kind of stuff with traditional art instruments on Bristol paper stock. Amazing how a graphics tablet and a modest sketchbook software can unleash your vision. What used to take 15+ hours with colored pencil and airbrush on paper can be done in just a few hours on a tablet...with no worries about mistakes and the ability to make unlimited changes at anytime.

Then there are the 3d guys...I don't think I could ever do the stuff they do, I'm too old school.

Awesome! Loving it Mike! I'm an Industrial Designer and DeLorean owner. I did a similar study back when I was in school in 1997. I even got the chance to show it to JZD himself! He liked it!

We need to revisit the car for 2016! I'll do the cad if you do the sketching! What say you?
