These may be common knowledge but I thought some folks might like to know about the passing of two long-time DeLorean owners recently.
First (from a FB post yesterday from Lance H. Australia of all places) was Robert Parker, of Tulsa, owner of 06924. I don't think he was ever a forum member but was active on the DML. He was an original owner, buying his car in 1982. He attended DCS09 (and possibly others)
Not sure how to link a FB post, but here is Lance's message:
Sadly, Robert, 64 years, passed away on 13 November 2015 from cancer. I met Robert in 1998 at the LA DeLorean Expo and we had remained friends and communicated regularly since. We met again at Eurofest 2011 in Belfast. Robert purchased his DeLorean (#06924) new and was an avid DeLorean follower and enthusiast.
A nurse by profession (retired), Robert voluntarily continued in this role by working with community groups, in particular, the Boy Scouts, by attending yearly camps where he provide any necessary medical care. A gregarious and very much a likeable guy. I'll miss him, that's for sure. Lance. Australia
Secondly, is the loss of Mike Bosworth in England last week. He was known on here as bozzydmc but was more active on the two UK forums. He owned several D's over the years including a self converted BTTF car. A very involved owner, he organized and attended multiple club events and was unfailingly helpful to owners new and old. His funeral is today.
Two threads on the UK forums: DOC-UK (http://www.deloreans.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?tid=5351) and Eurotec (http://www.deloreaneurotec.uk/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=5087)
