Radio cuts out when cigarette lighter used........ Should I be worried?

Put in a new cigarette lighter in. Made sure wiring was neat and insulated. But when I put the plunger in to heat lighter, the radio/stereo trips off for a second or two. Comes back on, doesn't seem to like the surge. Should I be worried?

Probably a bad connection. Were there two purple wires on the lighter pin? If so, I would put a new pin on that connection.
