And now for another question in the ongoing saga of 07000...
Actually this should be simple to answer, as it's pretty much stock related to the ground cables that are attached to the rear bulkhead over on the right (passenger side).
I see two cables - one that goes to the engine, and a smaller gauge one that goes down and disappears behind/under some metal or fiberglass. I bought new cables from Special T, and wanted to put those in as I think some of my starter issues is just a bad ground. Maybe. And it's cheap to fix that first and see what happens.
His cables though - the short and long, are the same gauge. I assumed the one coming up from under the car and connecting at the bulkhead was the battery, but the battery ground cable, wherever it goes from the battery, is a bigger gauge than the one that doesn't go to the engine.
Also, I tried to loosen and take off the bolt that's holding those to the firewall, but it really doesn't want to come off, at least not with 10 or so turns. It doesn't feel like it's coming out, though if I tighten it it does go back.
Is there a ground to that bolt going back inside (to the fuse/relay area) and maybe a nut on the other side of the wall? Being the one John sells comes with a new copper (or brass) bolt, I'd assume that it has more function than to hold the two cables.
And the cable that goes down and somewhere- is that attaching to the frame, or ?
