Factory tape residue on rear fascia?

I've had these marks on my rear fascia that I haven't been able to remove. They are an eyesore. I was told by another DeLorean owner that these marks are from the factory and they're caused by the tape used to secure the foam pads on the front and back of the car (as seen here: 40262) when being shipped out of the factory. Did anybody else have these and know how I can get rid of these marks, without damaging the paint?

I had these marks on my front fascia.

It was removed with a lot of elbow grease and the following treatments to the fascia:

washed with dawn dish soap and water + clean microfiber towel
claybared with meguairs exterior detailing spray + claybar
several passes with meguiars scratch X + clean microfiber towel (focusing on tape residue areas)
another pass with detailing spray + clean microfiber towel
wax with meguiars gold class wax (paste) + clean microfiber towel

I've always looked at them as a "beauty mark" showing originality of the car. They are on LOTS of the cars.

I've got them on my car as well and would be sad to see them go if I ever have to have the fascias repainted. The cars are only original once and the tape marks are a part of the unique history.

The marks on my car aren't quite as obvious as the ones in the photo...I keep a few coats of wax on the paint and that seems to keep them just barely visible under the right light.

I don't want anyone to take this advice without testing it first on and area you are willing, but I have had great success with goo gone on this type of residue.
I, of course, defer to the real experts.

Clean them off if you want, but in my experience most of the community sees these marks as adding value to the car. The owners I know that have them are proud of them. My fascias have been repainted, so I feel left out of the tape mark party :(

I could be wrong but I don't think Goo Gone will work in our case because the marks are actually embedded into the surface of the paint. When the tape was originally applied the paint was still curing so the adhesive is hardened into the actual outer layer of paint. The only way to remove the marks is with an abrasive to remove that micro layer of damaged paint. As novadmc mentioned he used scratch X which is a mild abrasive/polishing compound. Body shops or detailing shops familiar with paint correction techniques should be able to get rid of the marks and not destroy the underlying good paint. If I was inclined to have the marks removed I'd leave it to the pros. It's pretty easy to swirl or burn through paint if you use the wrong compound or go too fast and heavy with the buffer.

I don't believe this is accurate. The facias arrived at the factory already painted and ready for install. The paint should have already cured by then.

Someone chime in if I'm wrong, but the black bumper part is not painted. It is black material throughout. The only time it would be painted is if an owner damaged it and had to bondo/paint. The bumper can be buffed and brought back. The "tape marks" are where the protectors were on the car while waiting shipping and transit (you can see in many photos). The longer they sat, the more pronounced those marks are. It is not goo, but an impression on the surface. Again, buffing would be the only real solution.

Would you say one of these was more effective than the rest? Or does all this need to be done?

primarily the claybar and scratch-x. but you'll want to clean the fascia first to give a good baseline/prep. and i recommend the clean&wax @ the end to protect the paint when done, since your effectively stripping any protectant off and then going at it aggressively to remove the marks.

here's mine after about 30 mins total for the front fascia (my tape marks were on either side of the fascia and in front of the headlights on either side) :
