Head light switch help

I just noticed it today that my driver side (low beam) headlight was out. Passenger headlight was fine. But when I turned on high beam, all four lights came on, including driver side low beam. So my headlights are ok. I suspect something is wrong with my headlight switch. I have had a DMC-CA headlight switch for about three years.

Has anyone experienced something similar or how to fix????

Hey Ryan. The low beam also has a high beam filament in the bulb. So it sounds like the low beam filament has burned out, but the high beam filament is still good. I think you just need to replace whole low sealed beam. Might as well replace both because the other side might go out shortly after.

I didn't realize that it had two filaments. I had those lights for 3 years also so it's about time. I will change them out today.

This morning, I bought a pair of Sylvania SilverStar 4656 from AutoZone for $54 and they worked like a charm.
Saved me from taking out my headlight switch unnecssarly.

Awesome! Yes, I was about to post the same advice. Had this happen to me last year. I was chasing a switch issue for a while as well.
