I'm at the airport and just saw a case about a DeLorean on Judge Judy. Sound and caption was off. Just curious what that was!

Found this:

"A woman on a motorized scooter loses her balance and crashes into a 1983 DeLorean; the car’s owner claims she was drunk." - http://www.judgejudy.com/this_week

This isn't the entire episode, and it was posted a couple months ago, but it definitely involved a DeLorean.

The guy laughing on the recording makes it even that much more funny, lol.

If someone finds a link to the full episode, put it up here.

Yeah, my DVR captured an episode of "Judge Judy" all of a sudden. Turns out my DeLorean keyword record still works. I watched the episode. The bulk of the episode was given to some other dispute. The DeLorean was at the end. A woman got drunk and ran a scooter into a DeLorean. The guy got a (reasonable, I think) estimate to repair the damage, the woman said no, Judge said yes. Took about five minutes.

No, they didn't bring the car onto the set. LOL

Yeah I actually sued her in small claims court and the show monitors pending cases throughout the country. I'm sure they saw the word "DeLorean" and that's what prompted them to call me. I actually got the estimate for the body shop to do all of the work but when I won the case I took the fascia off myself (since I'm the only one I trust to do it) and had it painted so I pocketed the rest of the money. The chick was drunk as hell and riding a Honda Ruckus in the wet grass in the middle of a car show with $100,000.00+ cars parked around. A Mercedes SLS gullwing was actually parked across from me. I will NEVER leave my car unattended again, not even for ten minutes. That almost put an end to the car shows for me. I've had 5 DeLoreans and I've never had such an idiotic thing happen at the hundreds of shows I've done. I can tell you the show is NOT scripted. That stuff I made up in the end I had already decided I was gonna say before I got there ;) The interviewer and producers thought it was funny as shit and kept it in the show. Every time it's been uploaded to YouTube it gets removed due to CBS copyright violations. she actually scratched the left front fender as well but I was able to re-grain it and get that out myself. People are idiots.

The show also trolls the courts looking for unusual or interesting cases. My brother had a case in Landlord/Tenant court (he is the L/L) and the show asked him to do it. He refused, he figured he had an open-and-shut case and would win it totally which he did. What you see on Judge Judy is just binding arbitration with Judy acting as the arbiter. They also pay both sides and travel and lodging so you could say both sides win. It is not about the cases, it is about the entertainment.

Good for you at toughing it out. My first show was my last.
