If this guy is such a big deal, how come he's never talked about on any DeLorean forums? It seems like most of us are in the United States, but I've seen a fair representation of our Canadian neighbors. Surely someone has heard of him.

I met Justin at DCS '14; he's a really nice guy, a well-known owner, and member of the Canadian club.

Last year I saw a pic of a binnacle he repaired....looked really good. I believe he was offering the binnacle repair as a service to owners.

Justin IS a big deal. Just in a typically modest Canadian way.

He bought some of my products last summer.

So he must be a pretty good guy.:hihi:

Justin is a good guy and I'm pretty sure his work is very good although I haven't seen it first hand. He buys a fair amount of parts from us and has an eye out for quality so that's a very good sign too!

We generally try to keep to ourselves.
Be surprised if you found a Canadian owner that didn't at least know of him

Justin/ Wells Auto is one of the few that has met our criteria for being an authorized installer/ dealer of DeLorean Industries products. We refer all general repair/restoration work to him possible in Canada minus the full builds/performance. As time continues he will also be offering our more advanced services as well.

Hello Everyone,

First, thanks for the kind words!

I've had the pleasure of working closely with a number of DeLorean vendors over the years, and have relied on their sage words and this community's experience. Being in Canada, we purchase the parts our customers request from mainly the US but also around the world, and which they would benefit most from in our small market.

Second, Wells Auto does not and has not ever claimed to be "DeLorean Canada", rather we are simply a DeLorean Sales and Restoration facility, in Canada. I was not keen on the tonality in which the article was written, as Cory mentioned, modest is our mantra, and the article is not.

Along the same lines is my third point, which is we are not a big deal, we are a little deal - in a little market. We service, maintain, and restore the often very neglected cars we have way up here. We do so for those who can't, and work with those who can help themselves.

Please feel free to contact us anytime, and thanks for the interest in our operation!

There are a lot less DeLoreans in Canada than the US, so maybe the percentages are still the same, but it seems like most owners here don't do much day to day stuff on the forums.

Modest or humble? Tom explains it well...

In terms of local shops north of the border that knew what they were doing, Canada was more or less in the wilderness before Wells came along.
Justin and his team have provided excellent service in an area where new and unknown DeLoreans are being discovered -- often on a weekly basis.

I told my son when I die and he gets the Delorean, Justin is the ONLY one allowed to work on it! Lol....true story

Wells is the only Canadian shop i would ever hand my keys over to and that's just based on reputation, word of mouth and speaking with Justin via email passings radios and parts back and forth.

I just picked up my car from Justin last week after being in his shop for 3 weeks. He fixed a laundry list of items including a top notch job on converting my AC to R134, fixing a lot of wiring issues, lock out issues, speedo, performance, etc, etc. Top notch work and service. I'll be bringing the car there as long as I own it!

The reason you have not heard about him on the discussion forums is simply because this forum is generally used to complain about people and vendors.

You will not hear of a complaint about Justin because he is more than skilled, he is organized, he is professional, he is ambitious, he never speaks poorly of anyone.

Just is my preferred Delorean tech, adviser, and Friend.

Not many people know this but Justin is actually a superhero as well .. seriously ....

My Time Machine (6851) was on display for an event , I was out of town, and had a pivot bolt break. A quick call to Justin and he was on site and the car was back on the road the same day.

A superhero.

Justin has been our go-to guy for some time now. It would seem that there are more DeLoreans coming out of the woodwork because every few weeks or so, we are hearing of another one that we hadn’t known about before. With these ”new” DeLoreans appearing, the need for someone with Justin’s skills and knowledge is growing.
In general, there are a lot more DeLoreans on Canadian roads that are safer, more reliable, and better updated since Justin started working on them.
He is well-respected, well-liked and an all-round nice guy.

It's nice to see so many Canadians on one thread. I found the YouTube video about Canada both entertaining and educational. I learned that 90% of Canadians live within 100 miles of the U.S. border. I like the idea of so much open space in such a huge country... only if it didn't get so dang cold!

In my original post, I didn't think that Justin was such a big deal to the DeLorean community based on the fact that I searched on here, arguably the largest online DMC community, searching "Sookraj," which is Justin's last name. That search came back with zero results. Had I known that he prefers a one name moniker, like Cher and Madonna, I wouldn't have jumped to that conclusion :D

Glad to hear that my neighbors to the north have good support. Glad to meet you via the Internets, Justin. I apologize for having never heard about you before now.

I don't agree with your assessment of this forum. In my 3 years of membership, I have found the people here to be mostly positive and helpful. I would not have had success with my restoration without it. In fact, this forum's existence is one of the reasons I chose a DeLorean as my restoration project.

Thanks again everyone for your comments and support - it's great to know that the efforts made to build our operation and keep our local cars on the road has been worth it!

Not surprising. Justin and the gang at Wells Auto have hosted our ODOC Tech Days (Official DeLorean Owners Canada) for the last 2 years running and
our Members will certainly be quick to support him.
