i decided to strip my car and started at the front driver quarter panel. Im worried the pinkish stuff is body filler and the panel is damaged though.

More pics would help. It's hard to know what I'm looking at.

Well, I already realized it's filler...

I scrapped some more, then took the side marker light off and noticed where the body filler curls around to attach to the stainless

Thats definitely filler...although people freak out about filler, it is used on every paint job. Just because you have filler doesn't mean there is major damage. In fact it looks like in the case of that spot the shop got lazy and didn't smooth out the dents, instead they filled will filler, which they would have had to use anyway to make the paint smooth.

Look at the bright side, they didn't drill holes in the panel so the filler could be better attached! You have 2 choices, you can either re-repair with filler and paint or you can have the panel straightened and do the whole car. Do not be surprised to find another bondo repair. BTW, it is very common to see the body panels sanded in a random pattern so the paint will stick better. If you do remove the paint you have to figure on regraining the whole car.

Before scraping that part, I knocked it and it sounded different. I knocked around a good amount of the car and nothing sounded off.

Im going to go ahead and do the whole car. The paint on the bumpers is atrocious and it's starting to peel around the side vents. i've already contacted soundkillr about repairing the stainless. It sucks now, but at least once it's fixed, I'll know for sure that there is no damage on my car.

This is a surprise - I thought you were gong to keep it black!

The paint was chipping around the side vents and the bumpers looked awful. It bugged the crap out of me and became like a scab I had to peel off lol. I figured Id strip it and wrap it if I wanted it black.
