Hi everyone! Im Christian and im friends with quite a few people on here but mostly through facebook. I used to be a be a big part of the original TALK forum till it crashed but im finally back on here and got close to 300 pictures so far of the restoration of my 82' DeLorean vin:11035. She is or was a 5 speed, grey interior but now has a custom 2 tone of grey and black with custom stitching, custom lighting using LED and Electroluminescence. Also a fully upgraded stereo and 2 stage seat heaters and the Spec 1 Exhaust system. All work was performed by my except the the interior which i removed to send out to a cowork who does upholstery work on the side. Too many items and upgrades to list but please enjoy the pictures as im coming into my 6 1/2 year of the restoration. Still got more work going into the car but should be ready before summer is over!!

Look in my photo album. Hopefully you can pull it up because I'm still getting used to all the different features on here and I am not the most tech-savvy person.

Welcome back Christian! Like you (and many others of course) I have been carefully restoring my stainless beauty. I'm 3/4 done, and it was a fun, rewarding, and sometimes frustrating experience. But, there's no better way to learn about your car!
I'll be sure to check out your album.
Cheers,

Welcome to the forum :)
Thank you Domi! I used to be a part of the original one and I was on there for a few years before it crashed and with all the work that I've been doing on my car I just never really had time to sit down and start a whole new profile on the new one. Thank you again for the welcome![emoji2]

Glad you like it Riley88! I took ideas I got from other people and changed it around the kind of give up my own unique look of how I did the interior and the lighting. The shifter plate on the center console and the DMC logo on the knee pad actually came to me in a dream and I got with a machine shop I need to have them cut it out and stainless steel letters using a laser jet cutter and then I put the electroluminescent lighting behind it then had the guy I work with that does upholstery work blend it all together to the knee pad.

Na, I didn't go that far with it and I figured I'd be more of a problem to try to design something like that to do so I figured I just have it lit up at night when you have the lights on. I got my inspiration from the little plates that were on the center consoles of GM cars that were manual transmissions from back in the 80s and 70s. I just had the same thing done but had it cut out with a laser jet cutter then have a backlit using electroluminescent panels.
