Good evening DeLorean community. Quick question for everyone, I just replaced my AC Compressor and am putting everything back together. I forgot to take a picture of the hose configuration behind the control panel. Does anyone have a diagram of the lay-out?

You outsource your DeLorean work?

You must have very trustworthy friends. ;)

I'm scared to death, he is a mater tech and is retired. Owned multiple shops and worked on european sports cars. Never has worked on DeLorean but doesn't seem to be having issues. Will see.

Automotive A/C systems are pretty straightforward. However there are a few DeLorean specific issues that can arise. The hoses can be damaged through incorrect routing. Usually this occurs on the exhaust crossover, driveshaft or the steering shaft. The accumulator fittings can also present a challenge. Last, but not least, the stock low pressure hose is difficult to route between the frame and underbody. Thus many opt to purchase an optional spliced hose.

If I was outsourcing this job, I would take the car to an a/c specialist with the equipment necessary to make the low side hose. That way they can run the hose down the frame rail without the accumulator fitting and then professionally crimp the fitting after the hose is in place.

If the hoses are still attached to the hub, it can only fit on the mode switch one way.

... he is a mater tech ...

He shouldn't have any trouble getting two ends to go together then?

Thanks everyone for chiming in. The problem that we ran into was not from the engine it is within the car. The part that all of the hoses hook up to behind the panel in the dash. Couldn't figure out which one goes where. We can hear the vacuum working but no air blowing from the vents.

After hooking up the lines to the block as shown in post #2, you may also want to check the other ends of the vacuum lines to make sure they were not pulled off of the nipple on the actuator they are going to. Inspect the lines for any cracks or breaks that would create a leak.
