I think that's the surround of a paper air filter.

...or an aftermarket front license plate holder?

Hehe...I thought about filter...but doesnt look like there was ever any glue or anything to hold the filter part...If it was a license plate thing, there'd be holes to mount a plate or mount it to the car...aint none.... *sips tea while waiting for the next guesses* :dunno:

What are the dimensions?

If we were voting, I'd cast mine for "Not a DeLorean Part." At least not a stock part.

Towards Street?

Doesnt sound like a part for a vehicle.

Boxes of parts came with my car also. Bolts and nuts with no home, Misc. plastic pieces. I think it was done as a JOKE.

Steve -very funny :confused0:

its about 3.5" x 8" x 2"

All the other parts in the box were delorean parts (in various states of brokeness)...

+1 for not a delorean part.

Looks like something to hold a filter (or Bounce sheet) for a floor register.

Is the "ARROWS TOWARD STREET" part of this piece, or is that on something else?

It looks like you have the piece in question sitting on top of a trash or recyclable container....

Yeah, its sitting on a trash can..was the only free space to set it on...lol

....can I add my unknown parts on this thread?
They all come from the PO "leftovers box":

43586
43587

I am pretty sure these are PN 106964 and 106799 (even if 106964 appears to be black from factory)
43588

this pin diameter is ~7.6mm
43589

I guess this could come from the clutch master cyl internals. it is ~15mm outside diameter and ~7.5mm inside diameter
43590

this could be not delorean related but anyway the dimensions are ~56mm outside diameter and ~10.4mm inside diameter, height is ~4.2mm
43591

thanks in advance

Another spot on the car that the "securing plate" on the right side of that photo reminded me of is this:

http://store.delorean.com/p-6651-securing-plate.aspx

It is what holds the full throttle microswitches to the bracket (plate is underneath the bracket). The one in your photo might be bigger than this one though, but I can't tell what the dimensions are. Those studs with the threads look too big to go through the holes on your plate though.

This might be the pin that connects the break peddle to the break master cylinder plunger (not sure if "plunger" is the right term).

That looks to me like the mounting plate for the louvre.

Thanks all. the fun thing is that I am not missing that mounting plate on the louvre, lol

I found this to be the original clutch master pin from the pedal assembly, even if I found it scored under eye inspection I reinstalled it because it was still better than the M8 bolt I had in that place.......
