Wondering how you get to the wipers to spray some silicon to help loosen them. The wipers seem to work, but they seem a big sluggish..which I put down to it having sat for about 15 years before I got her.

The entire mechanism is inside the car mostly above and behind the A/C unit. They more or less built the car around it.

If you look up above the brake pedal with the wipers running you can see some of the moving parts, but the motor and gearbox are about centered in the car. I've never seen one fail or get corroded, so I'm not sure what the real problem may be.

Have you seen wipers work on any other DeLorean? If you are comparing them to a newer car, they probably do seem sluggish even when working normally.

They can fail. This one lost "park" and would stop when the stalk returned to "off" even if it was halfway across the windshield. It did other weird stuff, but i can't recall anymore.

Terrible job.

Ive never seen a delorean's wipers going..so yeah, maybe its just slow compared to my mustang or focus..hehe. When I get a chance, I'll make a vid.

What an odd setup..never seen a car (that i owned) that didnt have access to the wiper motor....so I hope it dont go bad...hehe.

Looks like that car someone had sprayed a Tan dash! Either that it it was in the sun WAY too long! Most Deloreans that I see the wiper blades are LONG past needing to be replaced. They have sat so long in one position that they take a set and are permanently bent in one direction. Luckily you can by refills at any auto store, you do not have to replace the whole wiper. As for speed, if you run them on a dry window they do move very slow.
