I have been using Castrol GT LMA Brake Fluid 12504 for years,
but looks like it was replaces by Castrol 12614 Brake Fluid.
Old: 44209
New:44210

Did anyone noticed this?
Can we use the new version?
Thanks

Hi there,

Yes, the black bottle is the replacement. I used it for my brake and clutch fluid.

same stuff. just a bottle rebranding/re-imaging. using the black bottle here for clutch and brakes. 0 issues.

It also barely mentions mentions synthetic and is no longer called GTLMA. I guess it is no better than any other DOT 4 so they had to change what it is called since they can't say it is Low Moisture Absorbing . It is still the same stuff and will work like the "old" stuff. Which means you still need to flush it out and replace it every 2 years. Brakes and clutch.

Castrol comes in two sizes: 12oz and 32oz. What's the right amount to buy to do a complete brake flush?

Get the bigger size, and do your clutch hydraulics while you're there.

Yeah No one carries that near me, here in NC. So I ordered it from Amazon, Came in the Black bottle.
