Anyone know simplest way to wire fan override switch?

I am thinking about getting an additional assessor he switch for the center console that would act as a fan of override switch. What wires in the relay compartment would I need to tap into for is there a simpler way to wire the switch? thanks guys

Buy one of the no-label switches. Wire it in parallel with the otterstat diodes, needs to feed + to the end of the diodes that feed the relay. Can be done with just spade taps, no need to cut into wiring.

IMHO the lambda counter connector provides a good base to perform this job: the green wire comes from fuse 5 which is the same fuse of the otterstat green wire, and the orange/black wire (lambda light) can be used to see when the switch is on. the other side of the switch goes to the 2 diodes on the right side of the relay area, I just added a third "black cylinder diode" to have an almost factory appearance ;)

If you feed your new switch power to the brown/orange wire going to the fan relay it should not need a diode. If you wire to the otterstat side brown/orange it could back feed the fuse 5 so you should use a diode.

If you have functioning air conditioning (big assumption, of course), the simplest way to turn on the cooling fans is to just turn the A/C on.

That's not what you asked, I know, but wanted to mention anyway just as an FYI.

Thanks guys! Awesome. I was thanking someone said the switches sold by DMC did not match very well with the other switches - anything to that or not? Would like to do that.

Good point on the air conditioning – it does work now.
