I have Hervey's alternator. I had taken off the pulley, fan and washers in order to test fit another pulley.
In what order do they go back in??
Is it washer in first, then fan, then lock washer, pulley, and of course nut is last. Pulley has a thick side and other side is thin. I believe thin side goes inward, thick side outward?
Thank you!

Your best source for this kind of info is the supplier you bought it from. Send Harvey an e-mail or try calling him.

Thank you!! Only thing is I believe #5 is just a flat washer on Hervey's alternator. I gotta remove temporary pulley I installed to see.

Once you install the alternator sight down the pulleys and check the alignment to make sure the pulley is in the same plane as the others. If not, the belt will slip and wear unevenly.

The spacer rests on the bearing's inner race and the fan to provide the proper clearance between the the fan and front housing... It should be easy to find a replacement since GM (what the alternator is based on) and Ford used the same one for decades.
