I remember seeing a DMC Technical service bulletin about leaks, does anyone have a link to that? Mine does not seriously leak and it is kept in doors most of the time anyway, however there are a few spots where I will get moisture in through a car wash or heavy down pour. What are the typical spots to check?

Annother thing to check is how far the roof fabric extends over the flange at the weather stripping. When installed it is pulled up over the flange and the interior weather strip holds it in place. Sometimes the fabric extends too far and even past the edge of the weather strip to the outside and will wick up water.

I'm not explaining it very well.

Pull off the interior weather stripping around the areas where the roof fabric occurs. Using an x-acto knife, utility knife, etc. (make sure it's sharp) trim back the fabric on the external side so that it only wraps about a quarter of an inch ofer the flange. Then re-install the weather stripping.

I thought I was headed down the service bulletin road myself, but trimming back the fabric worked in my case. I'm not saying this will fix your situation but it's a quick fix and less labor intensive than the sealant service bulletin so I'd try it first. If you still have water inside after that then go after the service bulletin.

Here comes the rain.
Here are two pictures of unusual places to get water leaks.
The first is the passenger door fixed glass. The sealant around the glass had allowed water to get through so I used McKanica Seam Sealer Black or you can use RTV silicone sealant.
Next picture is the passenger side foot well area wall. There are two bolts that go through the fiberglass body. And there are two bolts on the driver side also that could potentially leak if not enough sealant was applied.

Last week I drove my D through a heavy downpour and there was some leakage on the passenger footwell as you had described. These bolts, are they from the boot area behind or underneath the dash? I'm at work so I don't have my D to check atm.

Hi, I know this thread is 2 years old, but did you find the source of your leak? There is no context in the pictures. I'll try to find the area looking at them tomorrow. Is it necessary to remove the seats?
Thanks!

The two bolt heads shown in the picture I have included in my post above are for the Door Striker Mounting Bracket. If / when removing the Door Striker Mounting Bracket first you must remove the sealant covering the bolt heads.

I was hoping it would be clear if anyone looks at the picture then looks inside the passenger or driver side foot well area then you will locate the black sealant covering the bolt heads.
No need to remove the seats.

Let us know if this makes sense.

Got it! Yes, I know exactly where that is :-)
Thanks!
