:hysterical: Oh man, that was funny! Love Jim Carrey. It took me a minute to orientate as well.

Jason, you are looking for a car in Australia, preferably, New South Wales?

There is a turbo manual for sale in QLD on Carsales, not sure that there are a large quantity of Automatics in Oz? This is the only car currently for sale in Australia that I am aware of.

Yes saw that one a while back. #1787.
Oddly listing is manual but pics show an auto.
Kneepad looks funky. Will reach out to him.

Where are you based

Im in Adelaide.

That car has been up for sale for quite some time. Not sure why, maybe partly because of the fact that its an auto and possibly price too??

Current conversion rates make buying from the USA quite expensive, however you should be able to find a nice example that runs well and get it shipped over to Oz for well under 50K.

yes has been around a while. pricey indeed but have no problem with auto.
completing with so many great low mileage cars stateside that can perhaps be landed for around $10k (?)

First thing I thought of when I read the thread title.

Damn looks like that one sold :disapprove: (?)
Now it seems there is not one SINGLE car for sale here in australia and no local forums to watch either
disappointing.

Importing is looking more the only option. If only there was a company to trust to do all the importing / local spec work.

G'day!

Most Aussie DeLorean owners seem to communicate on Facebook, in the group called DeLorean Owners and Enthusiasts of Australia (https://www.facebook.com/groups/196619850374823/). You can try asking there if anyone's interested in selling.

In particular, there's a Brisbane car currently for sale on eBay (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/331919367120), 4 days left, currently at $25k and the reserve apparently isn't met yet. 36.5k miles, automatic, black interior, fuel flap hood, looks like an early VIN going by the hood & grey wheels. Note that I make no recommendations for/against this car, I haven't seen it in person, there's no photos of the engine or frame anyway, etc - I'm just passing on the link with no comments on if it is or isn't a good buy. :)
