I already removed old seat covers.

I bought new seat covers from John Hervey. I read all about using the plastic bag trick on head rest, and zip ties to pull in cover in order to get hog riungs on.

My question is, seat covers on bottom and back rest have that section that tucks into the "slits" of seats. Those metal strips that are there are really worn out. Is there some kind of replacement or anything else I can use?

Are you talking about the metal rods that slip into the pocket sleeves? Don't know what diameter they are (mine are already installed) but McMaster sells rods in every size imaginable, in a variety of metals.

Another helpful tip is to use zip ties in lieu of hog rings to attach the headrest necks. Zip tie gun is especially helpful for those. Use a sharp tool to poke zip tie holes in the rod pockets.

If your rubber seat bottoms are split you can use four el'cheapo 1" ratchet straps to support them. Steve Rice filmed us doing that on Brandon Barber's seats (should be on YouTube somewhere).
