If there is anyone who converted to the 3.0 engine using K-Jet and still has the EFI injectors, I would be interested in them - please PM me.

They are a very common injector. Any EV1 or EV6 style injector will work. For my swap I was running 24lb/hr injectors I got out of a ford mustang. For $20 you cant go wrong.
Edit:
I had actully run a few different types of injectors when I was tuning. All in an attempt to get the biggest junk yard based injector cause im a cheap-ass. lol
EV1 21lb pink tops from a ford mustang
EV6 24lb from a 3V ford mustang
EV6 19lb 784 injectors from a Jeep XJ
The EV1 Orange top ford injectors (find them on most 4.6's) are a 19lb unit but if you are not running boost or anything this is near identical to the stock eagle 18.5lb injector.
Anything 19lbs and up will do you well. you will have to re-scale your VE table but it is not too much work.

Thank you Josh, you can disregard my PM. I didn't see the edit until now. Did you change your pressure regulator for the larger injectors?
Thanks again.
Yeah sorry for all the edits. Just taking a jog down memory lane and adding things as I remembered them haha.
I never ran an adjustable regulator. Just the stock one that was built into the 3.0 fuel rail.
Once again though, installing new injectors (even if they are the same ~19lbs as the stockers) will reflect in your tune. if you put in bigger injectors the car will run rich as the duration is the same but the volume is increased. Conversely, if you put in smaller injectors it will run lean. But this can all be remedied by changing the injector size in Tuner studio and tweaking the VE table.
Im assuming that you are running megasquirt...
Edit... from the PRV you want to use these with a volvo stock computer. so stick with something 19lbs. the ford orange tops will be easy to find and cheap.
if you get a # off the stock volvo injectors we can confirm the size.

Thanks for the info Josh. I would like to upgrade injectors in my D in the future at some point.
I am running MegaSquirt however I am running MAF based fuel delivery, there is no VE table in my tune. The required fuel, dead time, etc would need to be adjusted and hopefully the ECU will take care of the rest from there. I am running 2 shots/simultaneous as the stock motor did, perhaps I am due for some research on whether this should change...
Thank you again.
Well my ears certainly perked up when you said MAF.
That was the next upgrade I was about to make if I were to continue with the 3.0
MAF tuning is easier than MAP tuning. It will require re-calibration but it is a straight forward scaling of your existing values. Tuning my LS required MAF tuning. Perhaps just changing the injector size in the main properties will get you where you need to be. This is assuming that you go bigger. If you stay around your existing size the MAF should be much more forgiving than a MAP based system and it may just be a straight forward mechanical swap.
How does Megsquirt handle fuel correction? Long term and Short term fuel trims. Just curious more than anything.

Since you've already looked into MAF, some of this may be repeat information for you. This information is based on things I've researched either by hardcopy manuals, MS manuals or online discussions so if there are any inaccuracies please correct me.
When I first began tuning, I didn't really know what I was doing with TunerStudio. When I went to MAF based fueling, I kept the injector dead time info, "calculated" required fuel info and other fueling/injector info as "default" input in TunerStudio. It was later after many issues and data logs that I realized how important (and how it saved a lot of time!) it is to have correct (or extremely close) injection CC, dead time, ms and all that other fun stuff, set in TunerStudio. On top of this, it is important to have a very good flow curve for the MAF. And so, my research into injectors, dead time, MAFs, MATs, etc began.
Once I obtained or learned how to calculate the correct data to set this information correctly in TS, my engine was running very close to my AFR table input. Activating a well set EGO correction (I'm using PID) will make fueling corrections based on my EGO and MS keeps my AFR to the setting I have on the AFR table as best as it can - it cannot work miracles and if you have bad data input it won't do anything for you. I'm using a LC-2 with wideband and it seems to be working pretty nicely, finally.
For any trim needs, you have the option to facilitate a VE trim table running MAF based, by default I believe the option is turned off. When it is turned on, it looks like the usual VE table but it is filled in with all values of "100", from there you can adjust what you need to.
My most difficult time spent was with fueling info. I was able to obtain a usable "base" MAF flow curve which required a little adjusting but overall it needed little. I still do have a usable VE table set up if I ever need to go to that instead.
Maybe this information should be added to the EFI section - any moderator out there can you please split this thread?
Cheers,
Dan B.

For my D, I purchased some reman 440 injectors yesterday. My originals were 734 (0280150734). I calculated the 440s will give me 19lbs with my 2.5 bar fuel pressure regulator although they are rated for 21-22lbs at 3 bar.
