"This is one of the approximately 100 cars assembled in Columbus Ohio. I have owned a number of Deloreans (including this one twice!) and this is the best one I have owned. The fit and finish is the best I have owned, and it is quicker than any other (quick is relative in Deloreans). The graining is nice, the body is perfect with no damage. The doors open and close with ease, no double bump when shutting them. The undercarriage is nice with no rust issues. The car runs and drives great! "

Oddly enough, just spoke with someone about this very recently.
Long and short of it is that no cars were ever built in Ohio. Consolidated brought back some of the Irish workers to complete cars at the factory, in Belfast. The built in Ohio part is rumor only.

Technically the final assembly of VIN 20105 was completed in Ohio, but all other production DeLoreans were completed in Dunmurry.
As far as non-production cars, they were from everywhere but Dunmurry. These include Proto 1 & 2, the Visioneering car, and all of the Pilot cars.

Layton is a new one for me. I've heard Logan before, and even the rumor of a mysterious warehouse up there full of DMC-12s that JZD hid. But nothing about Layton.
As already pointed out, other than the 3rd non-AmEx Gold car that was raffled off and was assembled in Ohio from spare body panels for the other 2 official AmEx Gold cars, no production vehicles were ever assembled outside of Dunmurry. Now, Consolidated International who purchased all of the DeLorean inventory did sell vehicles out of their Columbus, Ohio warehouse. They marketed them to both consumers and dealerships alike. They did also toss out that "1 to 100" number to show there was no minimum commitment to buy, so I'd wager it's a good possibility that is the origin of this seller's confusion:

This is precisely why communication and education is so important. This guy is claiming the car is something it's not, and opening himself up for a lot of liability with this eBay sale. And it's probably not even his fault.
Granted since he claims "The fit and finish is the best I have owned..." in relation to his other cars, I can only stare at the warped shifter boot and ignition coil cover with that strap and wonder how bad the others are... Again though, always do your homework no matter if you're buying or selling.

Good to know I for one do not want my car (20069) if it was made in Ohio.

It all depends on what you mean by "assembled". For example, towards the end, many cars were cannibalized for parts at the QAC's here in the States. They needed parts to get particular cars shipped to dealers and they were by VIN so they couldn't substitute cars but they could swap parts they either didn't have on hand or could not get. Later they had to "assemble" those cars back together. Another group of cars, when production was stopped, they had cars partially assembled and some not even assembled but vin's assigned to cars to be assembled. Consolidated brought back some of the staff to finish everything they could in Northern Ireland. Only DMC had the authority to issue vins and you can't build a car without a vin and the Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin. The MCA is basically a birth certificate and with that you can get a Title issued by a State DMV. The MCA is held by the bank which lent the money to DMC to build the car until it is delivered to the dealer who then assumes possession and pays the bank by "floor planning" or borrowing against the car with the car as collateral. Once the car is paid for by the dealer's bank the 1st bank gives the MCA to the dealer's bank. JZD never had a secret "stash" but he did remove about 2 dozen cars from the Bridgewater QAC. Once the trustee discovered that, the cars were recovered and sold by the trustee. So the term "assembled" can be loosely used to describe putting some of the car back together. Consolidated did have a large warehouse in Ohio where they stored everything they could that they removed from Northern Ireland. Most of that eventually was moved to Texas and became the core of DMCH's inventory. They certainly may have worked on Deloreans there but they never "created" them there because all of the vin's were used up and Consolidated had no authority to create more vins. For a better explanation read Stainless Steel Illusion.

I agree with most of what you said. The biggest thing being of course the is that only DMCL could have built and assembled cars. Not DMC, not DMCA, but DMCL because they were the specific manufacturing division that created the car. You can see lots of variances on this as well in modern times with Toyota for example. Cars from Japan say "Toyota Motor Corporation" whereas most vehicles from North America will say "Toyota Motor Manufacturing", with the exceptions being the former General Motors joint-venture plant and I believe the Tijuana plant. Totally different Car & Truck divisions, and even individual manufacturer plants under their controls who then sell to distribution divisions under the corporate umbrella.
Which is the big question about VIN 20105, the "final" DeLorean. Was that vehicle assembled in Dunmurry, or Columbus, OH? If the latter, then Consolidated committed fraud.
No, there never was a "secret stash" of DMC-12s at all. That's just a rumor that has sprang up from Logan Manufacturing's presence in northern Utah, and the fact that they did actually have a single DMC-12 on their property from a trade-in. The cars taken from the New Jersey QAC and the failed attempt to take the ones from the Santa Ana QAC are pretty well documented.
As for the "assembled" portion, that quite possibly happens far more often than we realize. You've got vehicles damaged on lots and in transportation that need repairs, and you've got aftermarket modifications, customization, and equipment swaps and installations that happen all the time before the vehicle is sold. I'm sure that canibalization of vehicles is also probably more commonplace than we realize. But the debate is practically never-ending. Can a Yenko Camaro really be considered a true Camaro since it endured an engine swap and body panel replacement at the hands of the dealership and is no longer numbers-matching "from the factory"? And we're still not event talking about "Incomplete Vehicles" such as chassis cabs that might have a Ford VIN and badge on the grille, but the actual manufacture is U-Haul of Tempe, AZ.
"Assembled" has so many variations and implied meanings...

No worries at all. Yes, the DMC/LMC equipment is still held in very high regard to it's serviceability and ease of parts acquisition. Interestingly enough it would also seem that a local equipment business in Logan that supplies parts also may have ended up with factory production records. Some of the scuttlebutt on other message boards was that this guy wanted to write a book about LMC, but may not have gotten around to it. I don't know.
Corporate wise, LMC is a damn mess. I'm reading the final lawsuit JZD was involved in, and the sheer number of proxy shell corporations is just baffling. Some of it makes sense on paper for many tax reasons, but I believe I've finally gotten a better grip on understanding just why LMC finally went out of business after their new owners purchased them.
At this point we should probably open up another thread just on LMC alone. I know lots of other DeLorean owners are like, "Man, if I had the money to buy a 2nd DeLorean, I'd buy a BTTF time machine!" Me? Nope. I'd rather get a 1200 or 1400 Series snowcat as my next DeLorean.

I would have to agree... however I also live in Utah and we go up to my buddies cabin often enough that it would be worth it... Right now I am looking into doing an engine swap on my car, but family and things have really slowed that down... if I do a complete rebuild on my car can I say that it was assembled in Utah? lol
