Gotta love it when self proclaimed experts tell us what our cars should be worth...
Then this happens:

When was Scottsdale anyway? Back in the spring? I completely missed it

Wow... doesn't even have the correct hood.
I bought my car 5 years ago with the same mileage and paid 1/3 of that price. Of course it wasn't as clean - is now...
Cheers

I noticed the hood too, along with those wheel weights that have no doubt damaged the finish by now.

I find it funney that they list the car as a "4-Speed Manual" in the description. If I were the bidder, I'd claim false advertisement!

The majority of DeLoreans still sell for $22-26k through Mecum & Barrett Jackson, though.

I actually thought the wide stripe car would have gone for much higher than that. It was a beautiful preservation-level example. But there is often little logic to the sale prices of auction vehicles.
I will say, I'd be pleased with inflating values if it means more cars are restored and preserved as classics vs being heavily customized. ;) But to each their own. We all enjoy these cars in our own ways for our own reasons.

I recorded Thursday's auction but I stopped watching with 1 hour to go and they were only at lot 333 so I doubt the DeLorean which started at 360something made it to air.
