I just installed exterior LEDs with the DMCH flasher relay. When turning off the flasher the relay clicks one more time than the actual signal or instrument cluster light flashes. Is that normal? It'll surely dive me crazy for a while.

Mine does not seem to react that way. Once the signal turns off there are no additional clicks from the relay.

Those clicks are "added" so you won't forget to turn off the signal if the turn canceling doesn't turn it off. Some may make additional clicks, some not. The older style flasher relays were mechanical and made that clicking noise. The newer electronic ones try to replicate the way the old ones used to work, including that clicking noise.

The flip side is that they make a silent version too. So you can buy an electronic flasher unit with or without the audible click.

I like the click. I just don't like the one extra click after the flasher is actually off. Haha.

Yes, I have the extra click too. I don't think there is anyway to get rid of it. It is annoying. Makes me second guess if I actually turned off the signal.

Well, your only option is to replace it with a different brand. I use the Tridon EP35. About $11 most places.
To be fair, I can't say it doesn't have the extra click or not. I can't really see my indicators to begin with due to wheel position and my visual line of sight. The earliest I could check that would be Friday.

My autozone flasher makes a click. Not sure what you consider and extra flash. It depends on when the signal is turned off (when the signal light was on or off). But it's nothing I ever noticed without my test just now.
