Rust and junk fell inside the flange opening

While pulling out the old axle flange seals some of the rust and crud that was in the seal fell inside the opening. I pulled the bell housing to clean it out but I can't get in there. Will I need to open the case, or will it just end up in the trap? I'd rather not open the case.

Ideally you should clean it out, but at the same time, any rust in the gear oil would likely get crushed and ground into pounder ultimately getting stuck to the magnet in the bottom of the case.

I have used a small strong magnet to remove rust particle.
