This was 4087 in June 2004 at Southampton docks - it came from Laredo, Texas.

Today, its like this but still plenty to do!

Last year we stripped the chassis down and had it galvanised and powdercoated. At the same time, I replaced all the bushes, fitted spax shocks, refurbished the radiatior, fitted new brakes and tidied up the engine and gearbox etc

I had the front fascia/spolier redone by a local owner, on here as stevie67cars.
The fascia was reinforced top and bottom with stainless strips so no more eyebrows! The front spoiler was reinforced along the bottom too for extra support and to stop the sagging.

To fix a few issues I removed the engine and gearbox again a few weeks ago. Fed up with oil leaks :)

The passenger side gasket seemed to be fine, but the drivers side showed signs of a leak on two cylinders I think

Engine bits everywhere.
The heads went off to be refurbished, the covers and intake were sandblasted back to metal and the white bag has every nut, bolt and bracket I could take off which went to be replated.

Here are the cylinder heads as they sit along with my exhaust manifolds.
Reground valves, new valve stem oil seals and a light skim.

Outstanding job!
Did you also go with the Eibach springs?

I have front lowered springs that need replacing soon. Standard springs at the back with SPAX shocks.

Couldn't you have used some bigger washers on that Y-pipe - those ones don't look big enough... :woot:

Just the fuelling gubbins to bolt on.
It was hateful bolting back on the standard exhaust but I just cant justify a grand on an exhaust for the heap.

Got it fired up properly last night.

Relief.
Took an hour of messing with fuelling settings but it went eventually. The injectors did not like sitting for a few months I think.
So it needs a bit more tidying up and then some fine tuning.

Did you true the edges of the top of your intake manifold? Mine look like rubbish with tons of flash from poor casting. Yours are nice and straight :) looks good!!
