I've bought new relays from
Dmc and started the update.
The old rpm relay installed on my car is working, but I've never seen this one in any other posts or pictures...
I'm a little concerned to put the new one, because I saw that there is one wire coming out off the rpm relay plug. This white wire is connected to a White/Red wire located in the fuse box.
Questions:
- Does this wires on the rpm plug looks right or maybe it was modified?
- Should I leave the way it is, or put the new relay and isolate this wire coming out of the plug?
Thanks!http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161219/875fa81e5af9324f3167639f5599b7f8.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161219/5e0efe4b894d318e158c4a6fec4c665d.jpg

I'd make a note of the connections, unplug everything, put the new RPM relay into the socket. The wiring on the socket appears original. I don't see any extra wiring that you need to isolate on the "car side" of the connection.

Agree the socket plug looks to be normally wired. It's a question what the PO did with that other wire. You could just unplug that wire and check what stops working. Or trace where that wire goes.

I've traced this white wire, someone weld this wire to a White/red wire

I've check the wiring color codes for this white/red wire (Ignition switch to start inhibit relay, Start inhibit relay to starter solenoid , Right power mirror to power mirro switch)

I'll put the new relay only next weekend, I'll let you know if it works.
Thanks

I'm guessing his RPM relay needed that starter signal. I've done some work on the TVR cars that have a run sensor (RPM relay) that also need the starter running signal. Our RPM relays don't need that to get the fuel pump running.
