Hi everyone

I'm on the lookout for some beautiful condition NOS or 'as new' parts if any of you have them lying around.

NOS License Plate Bezel
Original and unpainted without any sun damage. The bezel on my car was repainted years ago but it's looking a little tired. Instead of repainting it, I'd like to find an unpainted original in NOS or 'as new' condition.

NOS Mirror Switch Adjuster
The original on my car was accidentally trashed when I got the aftermarket DMC replacement (...doh, don't ask). I'm not the biggest fan of the aftermarket switch, so I'm now looking to replace it with an original mirror switch. NOS preferred but I'll also consider a used component in fantastic cosmetic condition, even if it's not working so great. I can have the electrics professionally refurbished.

NOS Ash Tray
The ash tray in my car looks great, but it has a hairline crack on the edge and a broken interior clip. The perfectionist in me is looking to source an NOS ash tray to replace it with. NOS preferred but will also consider a beautiful condition used part. I'm not looking for the DMC aftermarket replacement. Must be the original styling.

NOS Glove Box Insert
My original glove box insert is cracked so I'm looking to source an original NOS part or one in excellent used condition. I don't mind if it's a blow-molded or vacuum formed box, as long as it's in excellent condition. Ideally, it matches a 1981 DeLorean VIN around 5000. If I can't find an original, I'll probably shoot for DMC's reproduction.

Please reach out if you have any of the above. Don't expect to be low-balled. I appreciate the value in hard to find NOS parts.

Thanks!

Just a note on the ash tray... there were several different styles produced so you may want to include a photo of the type you are looking for.

I sell NOS-style mirror switches for $150. They include mostly "used" components, but the springs & ball bearings are new. I also include an illustration to show you how to remove the switch from the armrest in the future without destroying it.

That's a good point Mark. I'm looking for the one in this picture (thanks to Google image search).

This is the same design as the one currently in my car. I believe it's original to the car but am curious about the styles of ash tray used over the years. Does anyone know what style of ash tray should accompany a ~5000 VIN car? Thanks!

I have that same style ash tray (also has broken internal tab) on VIN 6125. According to this thread on DMCToday there were only two types of ash trays. I'm assuming the style that DMCH currently sells is the earlier type?

DMCH sells a Porsche style that looks similar to the early tray from a distance, however it was never used in production.

This one is a very good example. Casing appears virtually new. This one still needs to have the springs, bearings, and rollers replaced and checked. Following that, the casing will be resealed with a very tenacious (and very expensive) epoxy. For that reason, you should expect to see some small amount of epoxy residue near the bottom seam of the mirror switch, which is invisible once installed.

I can include a wiring harness with this switch; however, if yours is stellar, I would encourage you to reuse it. At this time, I do not have any wiring harnesses that I would consider to be 10/10.

^ I can vouch for the quality of Matt's work. He rebuilt my window switch and it has operated flawlessly since then. Also, his SS alternator tensioner bracket is very high quality and makes changing belts a breeze.

Here are the notches you may want to consider cutting into your armrest to make mirror switch removal easier in the future:

Thanks Matt. Lovely work on the switch. Arrived today. Looks NOS. Wonderful condition. I'll report back after I install it this weekend. Cheers!
