Bracket with strap, body tub

Underneath on the right side of the fibreglas body tub there is a bracket riveted on the fiberglas with a strap connected to it. This is right where the battery cables go in. What does this strap do? It has been a while since I took it apart... sorry no picture at the moment.

Mine always had a zip tie suspending the power/ground cables from hitting the trailing arm.
