Has anyone comes across a good colour match paint for the OEM girling shocks?

I used a volvo color, graphite gray #80
pretty good match.

Front shocks painted, rear new original.

Was it rattle can? Where did you source it?

Got my rattle can from Sweden, so not much help for you I guess.

If you still have the can and provide me the brand and serial numbers or part numbers i can probably source it on eBay.

Better look for a paint shop that can mix the color for you, or a volvo dealer.
I have more than one custom made rattle can, but they have been rebranded by the shop I got them from.
