I saw One guy had put a black light lamp above his gauges and it seemed pretty cool but I was wondering if anybody had done anything to make the needles and other graphics on the dash respond a black light or some other way of glowing?

I understand the glo dash went away a while back.

I've given a lot of thought to this subject, and here's the best idea I've come up with. If you'd like to try it and be the guinea pig, that's be great - I have too many other projects lined up.

There are a few makers of glo paint, designed to show up under black light. Here's one:

It goes on clear, and is "daytime invisible".

Now, if you've ever been to a black light party (shame on you if you haven't) you'll know that white shirts shine bright and black ones do not. This is not down to the fabric as much as it is the agents in your laundry detergent. But you use the same detergent on both color clothes. So, theoretically, if you painted a thin film of this paint over your entire gauge, it would help uv light pick up the white numbers, and not the black face. Theoretically. In reality, you may end up with an unreadable dash that sparkles. My test idea was to head to Goodwill, grab any one of the $1 items in the "old useless electronics bin" that were black with white writing and test my awesome theory on a disposable item rather than my perfect-condition dash. :)

The UV bulbs are available from a variety of sellers.

Very cool idea. I suppose I could painted on anything that is like a similar black plastic and see if the whole thing sparkles or not. I will let you know if I get around to this. Thanks
