Has been found. She's not exactly alive and kickin' but she's not so far gone that she's a lost cause. She has been modified with a 4.3 carb'd (you hear that Bill?) Chevy V6. And I'm told by the owner that she puts out very nicely. While in a state of temporary dormancy, I've offered my hand to the owner to get her back on the road and active again.

Nice find! Is this someone around us that would like to tinker as well?

We'll see. He's close to retirement, and it sounds like he's interested in getting her back up... now that he's got a friend. How's yours?

That's a Holley carburetor -- it'll never run right.

Right around the turn of the millennium, ready made Vortec (engine) to 369 (transmission) bellhousings were pretty easy to come by, but I haven't seen one new for years.

There are at least 3 Vortec conversions I know of (all carbureted, of course): Darryl Tinnerstet's, one in Alabama, and now this one.

Sitting in the garage still. My priorities are all screwed up, I have my Halloween costume to finish and then the D gets all the attention until DCS :spank:

Is 3573 undercoated? Mine is and just wonder if it was at the same dealer when it was new.

3570 is down here in Atlanta (MikeS. on the old board). I must ask him about the undercoating.

Though looking at an older vinlist, it seems like all three cars acme from different dealers

OP, I assume this car is in VA also?

Was wondering if the dealers got consecutive VINs in each shipment.
