Hi

Does anyone know if this will work ? Its substantially cheaper than other parts sellers ? Its supposed to be equivalent to the Bosch 0438140066

I used one in my car. All the holes line up and it plugs in. The one on the car was fired in side, and so i replaced it. i didn't see a change in anything.

While it may fit, it may not work quite the way it should for a Delorean. These Bosch parts are set up very application specific. The part # is what tells you what it is calibrated to work on. It is stamped on the side. A reman'd part can be recalibrated to fit almost anything so the part # may no longer be accurate. While it is called a Control Pressure Regulator it is also known as (aka) the warm-up regulator since it is what controls the A/F ratio during engine warm-up. It also, in the Delorean, provides some fuel enrichment during acceleration. If it is not the right part, or is not calibrated for the Delorean, you will notice poor performance during warm-up, poor idle, stumbling, etc. Once the motor is warmed up you would not notice any problems (assuming it works). You can't get them new anymore, all of the vendors have reman'd ones. Special T reman's them himself. Very common for the wiring inside for the electric heater to burn up. While it is repairable the CPR must still be checked and recalibrated. The small screen on the fuel inlet also gets plugged up so check that when removing it. Finally, make sure there are no vacuum leaks, the hoses are hooked up correctly, and the check valve is correctly oriented. There was a Bulletin for the vent hose too. Look up ST-18-10/81 and ST-32-12/81
