Two issues - blower motor was making noise and the fan switch was only working of the 2nd speed

changed the motor and now the 2nd speed does not work nor does any other.

removed and checked the replacement motor and it works.

checked the fuses and the 20 amp was melted, changed it.

the motor is reinstalled and still doesn't work.

WHAT AM I MISSING?

The mode switch has to be set on for the blower to run. Speeds 1 and 2 use the fused circuit. Speeds three and four use relays and the blower circuit breaker. If your fuse was melted, maybe the connections are now bad on the fuse socket.
