View Full Version : In Search of VideoBob BTTF Build #22

I have been maintaining a VIN list of DeLorean BTTF replica builds (http://www.citizenkidd.com/DMC/pages/vinview_totals_spec.asp?vinstart=14) for a number of years now, and to date there are 89 VINs identified as such. Of these VideoBob has built some 25 cars that we know of. I have the VINs of all but #22. Does anybody know the VIN of this car, or where it is?

It is possible that I already have the VIN marked as a BTTF build, but don’t have knowledge of it as VB build #22.

Thanks in advance. This is in support of my effort to maintain an accurate list of BTTF conversions.

Some of the locations are old on your list, and I have a feeling the car you seek is in the UK. Here is a pretty accurate and up-to-date list of cars in England and some in Europe that I know about (all of the details for the England ones are 100% up-to-date):

2493 Yorkshire, England (self-converted)
3185 Bristol, England (Bruce converted, currently for sale on Ebay)
5740 Devon, England (self-converted in the UK by 2 owners)
4787 West Sussex, England (self-converted, currently for sale)
10406 Kent, England (converted in the USA)
10680 Joe Macari Garage, London, England (Gary Weaver converted)
2631 British Motor Museum, Warwickshire, England (self-converted in the UK by 2 owners)
5059(?? VIN not confirmed) Jason Bradbury or an associated company, somewhere in England (self-converted in the UK)
and 2 further VINs that were both believed to have been converted by Videobob - http://bttf.co.uk/cars/ - Manchester, England (VINs unknown)

6425 Northern Ireland (previously converted in England, current status/condition unknown)
and at least 2 further cars owned by Keith McCracken in Northern Ireland, VINs and quantities unknown - he does have about 4 cars I think.

France:
2014 Claude
and one other

Belgium:
5424 http://www.back-to-the-future.be/

Italy:
10248 - displayed at Canevaworld Italy
and one other

Spain:
16858 - MT Performance ( Spain )

Poland:
3369 - Old Timers garage in Poland

Not intending to sound like a wiseass, but couldn't you just ask Bob?

A fair question.

I have tried to reach him for some time now a few different ways, but he would not return my requests. So I put out a public call for information.

Sorry, I had intended to put this in my original message (post #1), but when it came to sitting down and actually typing out the post, somehow I forgot.

He may not get back to you out of respect for his customer. Privacy is still a big deal to some people.

That's an excellent point I had not thought of!

If anyone ever approaches me and asks for my vin I will assume it's just a crazy psycho who is obsessed with meaningless pursuits. I imagine Video Bob has a similar concern.

While I appreciate the general point Ben is making, I'm not sure that owners of BTTF replicas are the shy retiring types :)

Anyone other than VB, maybe so. But at one time, Bob provided me with all his VINs through build #18 or so, IIRC. The rest (save a few), except for #22, I got off his own FB website, where at the time, he had published them for all to see.

I just saw this thread.
I am currently building Time Machine number 26.
We generally keep a log of all of the cars we build on our facebook page, in the photo albums section.
We will make an album of photos that will usually include the vin number and a photo of the vin plate in the album.
We don't usually release the owners information unless they want that. Some of our customers are celebrities and collectors who value privacy.
We keep a photo proof log of each build because there are other builders who make wild claims and have zero proof of their credentials and work.
I will also admit I have been so busy that I have not updated this page as much as I need to, so I will try to get it up to date.

It's right on the door jamb at Carshows...if they were a D nut they should know where to look. I could care less who has the VIN or my plate but some people are different. :)

If the car is resold....would he even track? probably not.

Matter of fact it's rightO thereO
